Constantin Răileanu holds a bachelor's degree in Theology (2001) and Music (2006 and 2007). In 2014 he completed his doctoral studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, with the thesis ”Systemic-Diastematic Paradigms in Byzantine Music” - an analysis of oriental intonational systems. He is currently a PhD student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, researching the topic ”Analogion and Icon” - a semiotic and phenomenological analysis of the sound-sign-colour relationship.
He is the coordinator of the "Anton Pann" Ensemble (since 2003), and since 2006 he has been the president of the "Anton Pann" Association for Culture and Tradition. Since 1998 he is the coordinator of the "Anton Pann" Vocal Group of Byzantine Music. Since 2007 he has been a member of the National University of Music Bucharest, Faculty of Composition, Musicology and Music Pedagogy, Department of Master Studies, specialization Byzantine Music. He has published several studies and thematic articles and recorded several CDs of old Romanian music.
